PREGNANCY, BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA

FROM £25/HOUR

Embark on your journey into parenthood with the unwavering support of a pregnancy and postnatal doula.  Feel supported and empowered through the joys and challenges of pregnancy and birth and nurtured during the delicate postpartum transition. I can offer practical assistance, emotional support and a listening ear so that you and your family can thrive during this transformative time.

What Is a Doula?

A doula is a non medically trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a mother and her partner before, during and after childbirth. Doulas offer continuous care and advocacy to help support a positive experience into motherhood, no matter how birth unfolds.

How Do Your Packages Work?

I want to offer you flexibility in your birth prep, so I offer a variety of packages or you can book sessions indiviudally to suit.

Why Might I Need a Doula?

Working with a doula gives you continuity of care, something that research shows can improve can lead to sthe chances of a shorter labour, fewer medical interventions (including caesarean sections), and a more positive birth experience.

What Is The Cost of Hiring a Doula?

Individual antenatal sessions are priced at £100 and postnatal support is available from £20/hour (minimum 3 hours).  If you choose full doula support you can select from all of the antenatal sessions to build the perfect doula package for you.  Full doula support including birth support starts from £1,500.

MOTHER BLESSINGS

TIMES AND VENUES ARRANGED TO SUIT YOU

A beautiful ceremony to nourish, support and build confidence before you give birth. The focus is on creating a supportive and positive environment for the expecting mother, rather than on gift-giving or baby-focused activities you typically find at a baby shower.

What is a Mother Blessing?

A Mother Blessing is derived from a blessingway which is a ceremony or gathering that honors and celebrates a pregnant person’s journey into motherhood. It is a spiritual and cultural tradition that originated from Navajo culture and is now practiced by many different communities around the world. The focus is on creating a supportive and positive environment for the expecting mother, rather than on gift-giving or baby-focused activities.

At what stage should I book my Mother Blessing?

Please get in touch as soon as possible to ensure that we can secure suitable dates.

When will the Mother Blessing take place?

The session date and time will be agreed between us before payment is taken – I can hold blessings weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Where will the Mother Blessing be held?

Ideally at your own home, if this is not possible alternative venues can be arranged at an extra cost. I can travel within Wimborne, Bournemouth and Poole free of charge. Longer distances may incur a mileage fee.
